Terms & Conditions

This page sets out the terms and conditions upon which ITV Broadcasting Ltd incorporated and registered in England with company number 00955957, whose registered office is at 2 Waterhouse Square, Holborn, London, United Kingdom, EC1N 2AE (“ITV”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides and operates Coronation Street The Tour (“Tour”) to you and/or your visitors (“you” or “your”) (“Terms”). 

Please read these Terms carefully before making a booking (“Booking”) for the Tour. By making a Booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the terms of any relevant booking company.  We shall have the benefit of any term or condition you agree to with any third party as part of your Booking and a breach of such third party shall be considered a breach of these Terms.

About The Tour

Coronation Street The Tour is an external behind-the-scenes walking tour of the famous street lasting approx. 90 minutes. The Tour will take visitors around the actual streets used for the filming and production of ITV’s Coronation Street. Guests will see many familiar places such as the Rovers Return, Roy’s Rolls café and Audrey’s Salon, down the famous cobbled street, along Rosamund Street and the newly extended Victoria Street. 

The Tour is located in MediaCityUK, Salford, Manchester. Full location details are available on the main Tour website. 

Whilst we anticipate that all exterior sets will be accessible by the Tour during our operating hours, there may be occasions where some areas are closed due to production requirements. At our discretion, we reserve the right to amend the Tour route accordingly, without prior notice.

Booking your Tour 

All persons wishing to attend the Tour must make a Booking in advance. Payment must be made in full at the time of the Booking, either by credit or debit card. We do not accept cash or cheques as payment.

Once a Booking has been made, you will receive a Booking Confirmation email confirming payment has been made with a link to download your ticket(s). This will include your order reference number, ticket number(s) and your allocated Tour date and time. This email acts as your proof of purchase. Please check that you have received this email following purchase, as we will accept no responsibility should you not receive this for reasons outside of our control and advise you check your email Junk or Spam folder. 

It is your responsibility to check all details on your Booking and ticket(s) are correct, as mistakes cannot be rectified.   Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any refunds or exchanges for cancellations or no-shows. Due to the nature of the Tour taking place on a working television set, we may need to cancel tours for operational reasons.  If this happens, we will give you as much notice as possible and refunds or exchanges will be offered, but no further compensation will be offered.

Where last minute cancellations are unavoidable through no fault of ITV (for example, on the advice of the police), we will contact you as soon as possible.  In such circumstances, ITV will offer refunds or exchanges, but no further compensation will be offered.

Group Bookings

For group bookings of more than 10 paying individuals (free tickets for children and carers do not qualify as paying individuals) (“Group Booking”) please contact us via the Group Bookings section on the main website for a group booking information pack. 

 This will detail current availability for Group Bookings and pricing for different group sizes.  

Once ITV receives your request for a Group Booking, we will check availability for the requested date and will place a hold on the number of tickets you expect to sell if the date is available. Our group booking agent will confirm by email a booking reference, provisional pricing, date, time and quantity that has been reserved for you. Please note this does not confirm your Group Booking and the timeline for confirmation of your booking is set out below.

If you are an individual making a one-off Group Booking for a party or event, our group booking team will instruct you on how to make your booking and full payment will be required at the time of booking via credit or debit card.

For corporate group operators making a Group Booking we require certain company details from the operator to process the booking.  This process may also involve a company credit check. Our Group Booking agent will confirm the details required with you. In order to confirm your Group Booking, it is very important that the following timelines are followed:

28 Days before your reserved date 

The group booking team must receive written confirmation that your Group Booking is going ahead. At this time, they will also require the number of confirmed guests and breakdown of ticket type. Please note, if the Group Booking is not going ahead, we will release the reserved date and time to general sale.  Any additional tickets required after this date will be subject to availability. Any cancellations made by the group operator after confirmation are non-refundable (unless cancelled by ITV in accordance with these Terms). 

21 Days before your confirmed visit 

You will receive a payment reminder by email stating the latest date your payment will be due. 

15 Days before your confirmed visit 

If payment or a payment remittance has not been received by this date, ITV will send a final invoice by email to the nominated contact which will state that your Group Booking will be cancelled if payment is not received within 24 hours. 

14 Days before your visit 

We will need to receive full payment for your Group Booking or the entire booking will be cancelled and tickets released for general sale.

As the Tour takes place on a working TV set, on rare occasions it is necessary to cancel Tours due to production and filming requirements. Whilst we aim to provide a minimum of 21 days’ notice for group booking cancellations, where complete cancellation is unavoidable, we will contact all bookers to rearrange an alternative date and time, or a full refund will be made. ITV will not be liable for any costs or compensation due to cancellation of the Tours.

Travel to and from the Tour and other costs not included in the ticket price are your responsibility. Bookings are non-refundable, non-transferable and are not for resale. Any such resale will deem the Booking void. 

ITV Broadcasting Ltd is the operator of the Tour. ITV partners with Accesso Technology Group Plc.  All aspects around ticketing for the Tour are fulfilled via ITV’s ticketing partner Accesso and their Privacy policy can be viewed here. https://www.accesso.com/privacy-policy  

Ticket Types

All attendees (including those with free tickets) MUST hold a valid ticket. A number of different ticket types are available with the following provisions:

Adult Ticket – A person of 16 years or older is classed as an Adult.

Child Ticket – A person aged between 5 and 15 years (inclusive) is classed as a Child. 

Children Under 4 – There is no charge for children aged under 4, however each child under 4 must be included at the time of Booking. 

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, aged 18 years or over, at all times whilst on the Tour or on our premises. Children shall remain under the control and supervision of a person aged 18 years or over at all times.

Concession – Concession tickets are available for Senior Citizens aged 60+ and Students with a valid student ID which must be presented on arrival with your tickets.

Carers – tickets for carers are available at no charge if accompanying a disabled guest. The disabled guest must hold a valid adult or child ticket depending on age.

Family Tickets – A family ticket is defined as 2 adults + 2 children or 1 adult + 3 children. Additional children under 4 and/or carers for a disabled guest can be added to a Family Ticket for no charge at the time of booking.

Proof of age or validity may be requested for seniors, children or disabled guests with a carer. Any visitors requiring wheelchair access or with additional needs are advised to read our accessibility statement.  For any other questions please contact our guest enquiries team via the online form. 

Whilst we aim to ensure all prices on our websites, systems and tickets are correct, errors may occur. If we discover an error with pricing relating to your Booking we will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible, giving you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your existing Booking where a full refund will be given. All ticket prices are in UK Sterling and are inclusive of VAT.

Gift Ticket Vouchers 

Adult, Child, Concession and Family tickets can all be purchased as gift vouchers (“Gift Ticket Voucher(s)”).  

When selecting gift ticket(s), you will need to select the ticket(s) you want to gift and can pay for the Gift Ticket Voucher(s) by debit or credit card in accordance with the Booking Process. You will then receive a Gift Ticket Voucher for each ticket purchased. These Gift Ticket Voucher(s) can be downloaded and printed to give as a gift in accordance with the Booking Process.

The holder of the Gift Ticket Voucher(s) will need to visit the Tour website to redeem the vouchers. They will need check availability by selecting the day and time that they wish to attend the Tour. If ticket(s) are available they can then redeem the Gift Ticket Voucher(s) and register their details to obtain valid entry ticket(s) to the Tour.

Gift Ticket Voucher(s) can only be purchased online as print at home e-tickets and cannot be resold. Gift Ticket Voucher(s) cannot be returned or refunded except in accordance with your legal rights and the terms set out herein.

Gift Ticket Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of issue and must be redeemed for a valid date and time. Please note that the Tour is only open for selected weekends throughout the year. 

Gift Ticket Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. Gift Ticket Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost and are subject to the rest of the Terms set out herein.  

Attending The Tour

All tours for Coronation Street commence at The Studios from Dock 10, MediaCityUK, Salford, Manchester. M50 2EQ. This is separate building and approximately 350 yards from the main Coronation Street site.

Please check the date and time of your Tour. You are expected to arrive for the Tour at least 15 minutes before your allocated Tour time, as shown on your ticket. Your tickets must be presented at the main entrance to the Tour – this can be displayed on your phone/tablet, or as an A4 printed copy. We accept no responsibility for the loss or theft of any tickets.  For Group Bookings please allow sufficient additional time depending on your group size and any special requirements.  We will endeavour to accommodate visitors who arrive after this time, but cannot guarantee entry to the Tour for visitors who arrive late and miss their allocated Tour time. During busy periods, it may not be possible to allow you or your party access to the Tour on that day, in which case you will be required to re-book another date and time. 

Only Bookings made directly with us, or one of our authorised sales partners, are valid for admission. All persons entering the Tour must hold a valid ticket which must be retained at all times by you or a member of your party and be available for inspection by any member of staff. Failure to produce a valid ticket may result in your removal from the Tour.

We reserve the right to amend an allocated Tour time once it has been issued to you, but we will always endeavour to notify you as soon as possible. Should we need to cancel your Booking, you may choose to select an allocated Tour time for an alternative date and time, or cancel your booking whereupon we will refund you all monies you have paid to us for your Booking, but no further compensation will be paid. 


We endeavour to make as much of the Tour accessible to all our visitors as possible, however due to the nature of the Live Television set this may not always be possible. For full details, please read our accessibility statement

Health & Safety

From time to time, the Tour staff may draw visitors’ attention to certain health and safety policies and procedures, to which all visitors must adhere to including the fire evacuation procedure.

All visitors to the Tour must comply with all relevant safety information and announcements whilst attending the Tour. Any breach of these terms or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damages, nuisance, injury to any other visitor or member of staff or the Tour itself shall give rise to the right of the Tour staff to eject you and any visitor from the Tour or our premises.  


Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your Tour to allow for all security checks to take place before the Tour starts. Visitors will be subject to a person and bag search. 

Only bring essential items and keep belongings to a minimum. Note that there are no temporary storage facilities for non-permitted bags, so it will be your responsibility to find a safe temporary storage facility.

Our Liability To You

If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of the Terms or our negligence.

Loss or damage is foreseeable if they were an obvious consequence of our breach or if they were contemplated by you and us any anytime.

We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability for:

General Information

Tickets for the Tour cannot be used for advertising, promotions, competitions or raffles unless formal written permission is given by us. Unlawful resale or attempted unlawful resale of Tour tickets is grounds for seizure or cancellation of those tickets, and this will be done with no refund or other compensation.

We also reserve the right to alter or amend the duration and or the route of the Tour to protect the production of any show using the set or studio spaces.


These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England & Wales. We and you both agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
